Light Moving Through Time is a research project conducted through a series of labs by photographer Nick Shamblott in collaboration with various choreographers and movement artists.
Through an inquiry of the mathematics and relationships between light, movement and long exposure photography this project aims to explore the phenomenon that occur in movement as we dilate the period of time in which we record/observe it. This project also explores the development of a language shared between movement practices and photography, attempting to bridge the gap between the ways in which we measure and describe movement, light and time.
These studies are broken into separate labs, each focusing on different component of the image/movement making process.
